Data Quality in Domains

Domain and Areas present you with an aggregated overview of Data Quality scores and ratios of all nested objects. This allows you to derive insights about the reliability of the data used by different teams or products at a quick glance.

Domains

Domains in Dataedo are logical, user-defined collections of assets in your repository. Domains take inspiration from the data mesh approach, helping you organize your data assets according to their purpose and ownership. The two domain types — business and data — correspond to two major ways in which the divide can be conceptualized. Data Domains are concerned with the perspective of Data and IT teams, highlighting asset structure and management. Business Domains on the other hand, correspond to asset distribution across different departments and business areas; think HR, Finance or Customers.

Interactions with permissions

Domains' role as a resource dedicated to modular management of your data assets is further highlighted by the ability to easily manage user permissions in context of the entire Domain rather than singular objects.

Workflows and Steward Hub for Domains

Your Domains and Areas can be moved through different workflow stages, to properly represent their process from conceptualization to publication. This also affects which Users can view certain Domains.
