Dataedo 26.3.5 resolves a critical Metadata Sync error that could remove your Data Classification, removes common vulnerabilities, and resolves other minor errors

General:

  • All Dataedo Portal and Agent .DLL and .EXE files are now digitally signed with our certificate. This reduces false positive antivirus flags and improves security.

Portal:

  • Metadata Sync no longer erroneously removes or overwrites column Classifications in your data source. Previously, running Classification or changing a column's Semantic Type could delete these Classifications in Dataedo, and the next import then removed them from the source as well. Now, Classifications that come from the source stay intact, while other Classifications and manual assignments work as before. Important: Classifications already removed because of this bug will not be restored automatically, and the first two-way import after the update will still remove them from the source.
  • When using ADKit with DELETE_USERS enabled, the USER_ALREADY_DELETED error no longer appears on every sync after a user has been deleted.

Repository:

  • Upgrading large SQLServer repositories can no longer fail with the Cannot release the application lock (...) '__EFMigrationsLock' because it is not currently held error. We increased the timeout for long upgrade tasks, and if a step still fails the log will now shows its actual error.

Connectors:

  • Databricks: Data Profiling no longer ends as Canceled without profiling anything on large databases. Tables or views that take too long to count are now skipped with a warning instead.

Public Api:

  • The GET /public/v1/users/by-user-group/{id} command now correctly returns a full list of users, instead of truncating it.
