Dataedo 26.2.9 fixes a Databricks Data Profiling crash, a database overview error affecting several connectors, and a Strategy One issue where connection errors were hidden.

General

  • updated internal packages to increase Dataedo's safety

Portal

  • fixed an error where entering the overview page for Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Amazon S3 database connections failed

Connectors

  • imports no longer fail when encountering an extended property longer than 250 characters

Bugfixes:

  • Databricks — fixed Data Profiling crashing with a [MISSING_AGGREGATION] error when profiling a table containing a column named value; fixed the row limit not being applied during profiling
  • Strategy One — correct error logs are now shown when a connection fails
  • Amazon QuickSight — fixed an error where an empty dataset returned by the API could cause an import to fail; dashboards that cannot be read due to insufficient permissions no longer terminate an import; columns are now imported for unstructured data as well
  • Azure Data Factory — fixed an issue with the logic of Analyzing Pipeline Runs that could cause metadata imports to finish without importing any metadata

Desktop

  • fixed handling of null reference exceptions when trying to connect to a datasource. Now connections no longer fail after retrying a repository connection after a failed attempt
  • Desktop now supports ActiveDirectoryServicePrincipal authentication when logging in
  • removed an issue that stopped you from deleting a column in Desktop if it was used as a PK suggestion by Portal's Steward Hub
