Dataedo 26.2.6 addresses serious issues regarding maintenance of scheduled tasks after version updates, and disappearing Extended Properties mappings. Other changes include improves to Agent password validation and error responses, and connector bug fixes for Databricks, SQL Server, and Tableau.

Portal:

  • Fixed an issue where scheduled tasks could silently stop running after a version upgrade. Schedules now survive future upgrades and any mistakenly suspended jobs will be automatically resumed after Agent startup.
  • Resolved a bug, where adding a new source to an existing connection cleared existing Extended Properties mapping.
  • The documentation hyperlinks in the External Processes view and Azure Synapse Analytics connection menu are now functional

Agent:

  • Added non-null checks to password validation, catching validation errors at an earlier stage. We also added new, cleaner error responses.

Connectors:

  • Bugfixes:
    • Databricks - added support for more catalog types to prevent Failed Connection errors
    • SQLserver - ensured proper name and schema filtering for synonyms
    • Tableau - imports can now commence with PERMISSIONS_MODE_SWITCHED
