Dataedo Portal Overview
Dataedo Portal is an on-premises, self-hosted web portal for easy and interactive access to the metadata stored in the Dataedo data catalog, contributing to the community (with comments, ratings, questions, etc.) and documentation (with descriptions, manual objects, and more).
Access to Dataedo Portal requires one of the following licenses:
- Enterprise – Data Stewards/Editors
- Enterprise Viewers – Community Users
Community Users with Dataedo Portal can:
- Browse and search the catalog
- Contribute to the community with comments, ratings, questions, warnings, etc.
Data Stewards/Editors with Dataedo Portal can:
- Edit data asset descriptions
- Do everything that Community Users can
Dataedo Desktop and Dataedo Portal can be used with the same repository and complement each other.
With each version, we are planning to add more functionalities currently available only in Desktop.
